Thua Thien-Hue provincial authority have approved for the establishment of CP Vietnam Breeding Farm Ltd. Co., which is a totally funded by Thailand’s Charoen Pokphand Group. The newly set-up company will focus on producing Vannamei, or whiteleg shrimp in Phong Dien district.
CP said the multi-million project will cover an area of 136 hectares in two communes, Dien Loc and Dien Mon, Phong Dien district, and hope this farm will provide employments for around 120 local people in long term.
Mr.Luu Thai Hoa, deputy director said last month his company exported 400 tons of farmed shrimp, worth USD3.5 million to Japan, South Korea and Australia. Japan remained its largest market, which consumed 70% of total export revenue. CP Vietnam Livestock planned to export 500 to 600 tons of whiteleg and black tiger shrimp in August, but they have not provided the exact number of export volume and value last month so far. |
